It is the responsibility of the drivers to ensure safety on the road for the other motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians. In cases of accidents involving drunk driving, the victim and their family members are entitled to receive monetary compensation from those who are at fault. The compensation may include future medical expenses, loss of wages, mental suffering due to physical disability, loss of companionship in the case of a wrongful death of the victim and other damages. However, recovery of compensation in an accident case requires detailed proof of the losses undergone and involved. A legal professional may assist doing all these and filing a wrongful death claim.
